Review Dual Port Fast Charging Ultra-Slim Portable External Battery

Review Dual Port Fast Charging Ultra-Slim Portable External Battery

The EasyAcc 5000mAh 2.5A battery pack is one of the thinnest battery packs I've seen. It's got an excellent form factor that makes it easy to carry and it has 2 outputs that make it extremely useful. One output is a USB port providing 1.5A output while the other output is a permanently attached flat MicroUSB cable providing 1A of output. Both outputs can be used at the same time providing a total output of 2.5A.

An additional feature of this powerbank is the built-in LED flashlight which is turned on or off by a quick double-press of the on/off button.

When the on/off button is pressed just one time, LED's on the face of the powerbank illuminate to indicate the state of charge of the Li-ion battery;
- 4 LED's: 75%-100% charge remaining
- 3 LED's: 50%-75% charge remaining
- 2 LED's: 25%-50% charge remaining
- 1 LED: 5%-25% charge remaining
- 1 flashing LED: less than 5% charge remaining... time to recharge the battery pack.

In my testing this was a great performing battery pack. It charged my iPhone4 at the rate of 1% per minute and that is excellent and on the same level as some of the best battery packs I've tested.

Pros:
- Non-glossy case resists fingerprints and provides a good grippy surface
- Can charge two devices at the same time
- Built-in LED flashlight
- Ultra-thin design makes it easy to carry
- Decent capacity of 5000mAh
- Auto shutoff when charging is complete (of your device or of the battery pack)

Cons:
- MicroUSB charging cable is not included

One thing worth mentioning is that even though the battery pack does allow you to charge it while it is also charging a device, there is a warning in the user guide against doing that because it can diminish the life of the Li-ion battery. The battery pack can be charged in 3-5 hours depending on input current. Maximum input is 2A.

I was provided a complimentary sample for testing and review. I'd be happy to answer any questions you might have about the battery pack; just leave me a comment.

Review from Mr Erb.Thanks for watching!
