The August MS450 is an impressive looking bluetooth speaker with a cool, touch panel that rises from the middle of the speaker when you press the center down and release. A blue LED shines inside once powered up and continues to blink when speaker is being used,
The speaker is solidly built and looks fantastic. The main problem is that the sound is just mediocre. I mean as a personal speaker to be used with your laptop or smartphone the sound is OK. With price in mind, this is priced quite low and for the money, this is a quite decent speaker.
Included accessories:
- 3.5mm male to male audio cable
- USB to MicroUSB charging cable
The speaker has a really cool touch interface. There is a play/pause, >>, <<, and handsfree button. Volume is adjusted by touching the rim and making a clockwise or counterclockwise movement, similar to the original iPod control. It works well.
The speaker contains a 600mAh Li-polymer battery that should give you up to 5 hours of play time depending on volume and can be charged in about 3 hours.
The sound produced from this speaker is not terrible, but it's not noteworthy either. Average sounding with a distinct lack of bass (note the frequency response of 200Hz - 20KHz.) Mids and highs are a little muddled. But considering the price, it's not bad and the build quality seems excellent.
I thought that the handsfree function worked well with clear and loud sound of the caller.
This is a great value I think although the sound is not the absolute best, you could do much worse when compared to some of the other bluetooth speakers in this price range.
I was provided a sample for review.
Review from Mr Erb.Thanks for watching!
